Abira Philippines Inc. is based in Davao City, Philippines.
The company was founded by a group of European engineers and professionals with a solid experience in the major fields of engineering, quality inspection and business management.
The company has European management and organized in accordance with the European model and standards. We only employ licensed and experienced senior engineers who belong to the top of the Philippine engineering society. The company is divided into different departments with the team leaders as follows:
| The General Manager of the Philippine operation is Roel J. Ouwerkerk from Dutch origin. Roel brings to Abira Philippines Inc. his vast experience as an executive project manager and business consultant. |

Serving in the capacity of Senior Chief Office Engineer and Project Manager, Roel has traveled the world participating in and managing of construction projects ranging from Gas Processing Stations to nuclear power plants for companies like Stork, Siemens, BP, AMOCO and Shell Oil.
Roel integrated many of the techniques, developed over the years for managing these large-scale projects, into the internal process of the company.
As an Executive Business Consultant, Roel has re-structured corporations and designed processes and procedures for a great number of companies including Construction, Web, Graphic, Printing, and Financial Service Corporations. |

The Head of Engineering is Aurelio Acana, he is the main man for the engineering operations.
Aurelio is a 52-year old senior engineer with a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor in the Science of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. |

Aurelio has a long working experience in the engineering world and is a faculty member of the Western Institute of Technology. Aurelio is by far one of the most knowledgeable Engineers in the Philippines in the fields of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. That proves in his election of president of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Aurelio will give lead to the engineering department of Abira Philippines Inc. and guarantees solid engineering solutions and a high quality output.
Aurelio worked on numerous projects like King Fahd International Stadium and King Fahd International Airport in Ryad, re-fueling stations, infra-structure projects like highways and bridges and many others

The head for the Piping and Equipment department is Joseph Lo. |
|
Joseph is relatively young, mid-thirties, but a highly seasoned and experienced Piping Engineer. Skilled in the use of multiple design- and engineering programs and with experience to function as team leader for foreign companies, Jo can assure the client that the job will be done without any “clashes”.
Joseph worked recently on the Waste Water Treatment Plant, Bakersfield California, U.S.A and participated in other projects like a Coal Fired Power Plant in Philippines, Nickel Plant in South Korea, and Machinery & Equipment for Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan

The head for the Rotating Equipment and Maintenance department is Dexter Remitar |
|
Another young but bright star of the Engineering world of the Philippines; Dexter gained his experience as (one of the youngest) engineering supervisor for one of the biggest flourmills in Mindanao. Dexter is in the possession of a wide knowledge of rotating equipment, pneumatic- and hydraulic systems, and is, already, an expert in maintenance and maintenance systems.
Dexter worked as Mechanical & Engineering Supervisor for Robina Flour Mills and worked before on projects, as engineer and supervisor, like oil depots for TWA, Structural, Piping and Equipment for Gokongwey Inc, and Maintenance Engineer for other mills in the Philippines.

The Civil Engineering department head is Zaldy P. Alavata. |
|
Zaldy is a seasoned Civil Engineer with many years of experience and a Structural Engineer with a “Grade A” from the International Association of Civil Engineers. Zaldy has a long history of projects as Structural Engineer, both local and international projects, and performs structural analysis and design of projects such as hotels, multi-storey residence-, commercial-, and office buildings, cold storage- and dry warehouses, shopping malls, infrastructure projects, and other related structures. |
